Hi,
I’m trying to upload an MP3 echo butI always get the message “Duration couldn’t be obtained from uploaded file…”.
My echo = bitrate : 128 – sample rate 44100- duration 3’09" and 2,89 Mo.
Can any one tell me what’s going on and how to fix it ?
woices seems to be a hell of a good site and would be ideal for me if i could work it.

Seems like it’s corrupt or something and we cannot detect the duration. Re-encoding it could solve the problem in many cases.

I had the same problem, with files generate by the LAME MP3 encoder (that’s its name). The upload works from my work Windows XP machine, but the same version of Audacity and LAME running on my Vista machine at home doesn’t work for some reason.

This bug was caused by a combination of the browser and operating system: the browser uploads the mp3 fine but it confuses our server telling that it’s a different type of file (usually an octet-stream). It was fixed while ago, if someone finds a similar problem please post here.
